I am watching the 11:00 repeat of today's Oprah. I would NEVER tell that bubble story without saying "I can't believe I never noticed them" or "I was so embarassed."<BR/><BR/>On another note, a good friend of mine was a guest in the Oprah audience today. Yes, during the huge snow storm. She was there at 7:00am and the show featured Rick Springfield (be still my heart!), David Cassiday, Henry Winkler, and the Cosby Show cast. It ran so long, they split it into 2 shows. Oprah even did a wardrobe change so it wasn't obvious! PLUS, every audience member got all 8 seasons of The Cosby Show on DVD. I read <I>The Power of Positive Thinking</I> by Anthony Robbins ages ago, and it stayed with me. <BR/><BR/>However, I was so struck by the notion that Oprah's employee gave her a gift that she didn't even recollect ever having SEEN before, much less remember getting. And then I was further struck that Oprah talked about it as if that was a perfectly natural thing to admit. She didn't even act horrified that she had accidently admitted to said employee that she had no clue where the bubbles came from or that she hadn't even noticed that they had been sitting there all along. <BR/><BR/>I couldn't enjoy the rest of the show because I was too wrapped up in sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for Oprah to apologize or explain why she hadn't known about the gift. Hours later, I still haven't recovered from the whole Bubble Incident. <BR/><BR/>Personally, I think the universe was trying to tell Oprah that she needs to SEE and appreciate the things that are right in front of her. <BR/><BR/>I really admire Oprah and I had this wild fantasy that she still writes all of her own thank you notes.
