Nine looks fine

Yup. I'll be there. I do love musicals. While I never had the talents required to do musical theatre, there's a not-so-hidden part of me that would love to belt Don't Cry for Me Argentina from a balcony. Today's show was easy on the eyes and ears. Just relaxed fun. I wish all the actors had been onstage together (I love the banter that takes place on the couch), but from what I can tell, they aren't onscreen together, so they probably haven't developed that easy chemistry that some casts do. I couldn't tell if Oprah liked the movie. She wasn't jumping up and down in her seat with excitement as she usually does when she's over-the-moon for a film. However, she seems low key these days in general, so maybe her behavior this morning wasn't really an indication of whether or not she loved it. Still, I'll be there - will I see you at the theatre?

I was watching this show on my DVR but deleted it about 20 minutes in. Oprah oversells movies and I think this might possibly be a good one and I don't want to hate it before I see it. I like Fellini and 8 1/2 so I am interested in the theme.

Why did she and Tyler Perry change the name of "Precious" to "Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire". Ugh! Now it sounds pretentious and mediciney...

Yes, I will see Nine. Musicals make me all tingly and hopeful, which is why I'm a thirty-something watching Glee every Wednesday night with the phone turned off and shushing everyone. The trailer looks fantastic, and the case is great (except for Fergie, really? Fergie?)

Saw the musical the last time it was on Broadway in 2003 starring Antonio Banderas, Jane Krakowski and Chita Rivera - loved it, can't wait for the movie.

I missed the first couple of minutes. Was there any kind of plot summary? I really wished there had been. That said, I absolutely love musicals (but I have to wonder if the ones that come out are just trying to capitalize on the popularity of Chicago).

I almost never get to the movie theater (tickets in DC are $13), but a big production like this is perfect for the big screen so I'll ee if I can get a friend to go. :)I was in musicals in high school and really miss performing. (And the costumes look awesome!)
