I miss you

Sniff.

Ok. I know I'm supposed to be focused solely on writing my book and I am, I am. BUT I had to say hi. I had to let you know that I taped this morning's Oprah episode about What Women Want so my husband can watch it later. The question is, will I be able to contain myself and not point at the TV and say, "See?! That's what I've been trying to tell you!" It'll probably be best if I go for a walk while he watches it. And takes notes. Is it wrong for me to leave him a legal pad and a few sharpened pencils on the coffee table? How about a pop quiz in the morning? Wait, I didn't mean for "pop quiz" to sound like a euphamism.

Also, now that my project is over and I am not following all of Oprah's suggestions, I get to wear my goofy graphic t-shirts with stupid sayings on them again! I've taken them out of storage and Jim bought me a few new ones. (We're stimulating the economy with our t-shirt purchases. GO AMERICA!) I stopped wearing them in 2008 because an article in O Mag told me they made me look old. Maybe. Maybe. But I just love them, so call me Granny! Here's my newest fave!

I hope you are all doing well and can smell spring in the air. Have a fabulous weekend!

HI! Totally miss you too. There have been about five episodes where I was thinking, Phooey! I wish LO were still in business because this would be a great discussion!
Meanwhile I didn't even know what today's show was...must go tune in. But it's great to hear from you!

hey gals, i'm going to do my best to check in more often. the book writing is definitely going well. very intimidating and exciting at the same time.

when i saw your comments, i made a squeal of joy that sent my cats fleeing, by the way.

oh, and liane: i always had the superpowers, but oprah never told me to use them in 2008, so they were dormant. luckily, the power to shoot laser beams out my eyes (through my glasses) is like riding a bike.

HI!!! I cannot tell you how much I miss you awesome insights. I'm still not watching Oprah, but I am listening to her protege Marianne Williamson every day (I love her) and try to listen to Oprah's interviews from the Soul Series (if you haven't seen her interview with Rainn Wilson, you must!) online.

Hope you're doing well with the book and that the husband and the cats are doing okay.

Best of luck and continued success. Seriously, I'm going to be such a word of mouth marketing fairy godmother for you when it comes out!

Here's a thought to ponder.... Isn't "Living your best life" living life in a way that brings you joy???? If wearing graphic t-shirts and shooting laser beams out your eyes makes you happy, then do it (well just be careful where you are aiming those laser beams).

Why is it so wrong to look old anyway? Why is it up to the media or 'style experts' to tell us what is appropriate to wear? If we want the advice or are looking for change, then ok follow the experts. But if you are content with your image...why change just because someone says you should? Am I making any sense at all?

Oh, and I miss you too :)

Wow, LO, I thought about you Friday and here you were posting! I'm glad the book writing is going well. I haven't watched Oprah in a long time, but I admit the "What Women Want" show would have intrigued me. I just can't stand all the bad news that is barreling down upon me from the boob tube. Can the world really be going to hell in a handbasket as fast and as furiously as the talking heads seem to imply?

I can't wait for your book to come out! I need my LO fix!

How is your Mom? Give her my best.

Were you invited to be on the blogger episode? Or was that just a mommy blogger show?

Glad to see you back (for the moment!) and that all is going well. Miss you.

I just checked in to see if you surfaced, and much to my delight there are two posts from you.

So happy you popped up in DayGlo colors to say hi. (Love the kitty shirt, BTW).

Not to jinx, but let us know how you're doing with the book and all, and when's anticipated pub date.

Funny, I've been lusting after the Kindle, but decided on an HP mini netbook and just love it. It's super portable and I can write and surf (I mean research) the Web and read an ebook on it, which are free!

Keep in touch!
