How happy am I...

...that I've already completed my assignment to watch 27 Dresses?! Ugh. I'm quite pleased I don't ever have to lose those 111 minutes again. And who decided Heigl is the new 'it' girl? My only comfort is that 'it' is temporary in Hollywood.

Did you watch today's rerun?

I've decided that I would like Patti Novak to follow me around 24/7 and brutally share her observations. I wouldn't require her services as a matchmaker (I think this would really upset my husband for some reason) but she's so direct and honest that I think she could put me through behavioral bootcamp. While I do my best to live by the golden rule and be true to myself and live honestly in each moment, I am sure I could learn tidbits about myself that I'm blind to.

I have some terrific friends who are honest with me. Up to a point. They're also loving and supportive and would never want to hurt my feelings. This is why I love them. So, I would like to outsource my life's scrutiny to someone I don't have long, languid summertime brunches with. I need a steely-eyed, hard-hearted expert like Novak in my posse.

I guess what I really want is someone to tell me honestly if I look fat in the white jeans Oprah said we all needed in our closet.

And onto housekeeping news...I'm having a really rough time importing all my old Blogger posts into Typepad. I wanted to have a new site to greet you today, so it's frustrating, but Martha Beck wouldn't want me to wallow, so instead I'll keep working at it...

Oh no! I'm sorry you are having teething problems with Typepad, I hope they redeem themselves.

Have you submitted a help ticket with TypePad Support? I'm a lead on the Support team so if you're having any issues on the TypePad side, please let us know. You can open a ticket in Control Panel > Help. We're happy to help!

I love Heigl, but didn't care for 27 dresses.

I don't think I could handle that woman.

jen, let's hope!! if not, i'm already looking into wordpad - they seem to import from blogger much easier...

thanks colleen...we'll see! i don't know if i want to start my whole new blog with a trouble ticket, but i will totally consider it.

that_girl. you are totally in the majority there. people really enjoy her. i only know her from 27 dresses and the last season of grey's anatomy. and you made me giggle about Novak. she's tough, isn't she? i feel like she'd either reduce me to tears or make me the strongest person ever.

Those chickpea cookies look disgusting. Why not make some really good cookies, eat just a few, and give the rest away? This would be Living Holly, though.

holly, if commiting to Living Holly would guarantee i wouldn't have to bake or eat chickpea cookies, i'd consider that for my next project! :) xoLO

Ironically, I watched 27 dresses just after watching this re-run. I enjoyed it only because 1) I related (I've been in several weddings over the years...and still have all of the dresses - my friends will attest to that!) and 2) because I took it for the romantic comedy it was intended to be, funny lines and all. No need to reply, just wanted to throw this out there (since I've been MIA - i.e., on vacation!)

jax, 1) PLEASE do tell why you kept the dresses. 2) i hope you enjoyed your vacay! xoLO
