I'm a huge fan

When I heard Carol Burnett was going to be on Oprah today, I was thrilled. She's one of my heroes. I think she totally paved the way for so many of us who work in comedy - especially women. She's classy and funny and original and generous and I almost wish the whole show had been about her! Of course, it was actually about "Horton Hears a Who" and its cast and Ms. W has sent us on another mission: "It is the perfect movie for families. And for adults, you will love it, too. So go see it." I'm not a huge fan of animated flicks, but Dr. Seuss is brilliant and I hope the movie does him justice.

As many of you know, Oprah has opened a new store. I was lucky enough to get a ticket to see an upcoming show (thanks for the advice LMS!) and am hoping there's enough time for me to visit the store afterwards. I'm surprised she opened up the boutique so close to Harpo - it's a flat out way to make money - something she usually says she's not interested in doing. Still, I'll bet people LOVE it. Especially tourists to Chicago. I'm excited to do some people watching there!

I thought, since I'm devoid of deep Oprah thoughts today, that I'd share a phenomenon that began a couple weeks after I started this project. I have had a recurring dream topic - that I am re-arranging all the furniture in my home and in the dream I discover the PERFECT layout to make me blissfully happy. I figured the dream was just indicative of all the rearranging and decluttering I've been doing in my home. However, I just looked up some dream analysis and found: "To dream that you are moving furniture, indicates that you are going out of your way to please others. Also, you may be changing your ways and trying to reevaluate your relationships/attitudes." What do you think? Could this be a result of my Living Oprah experiment and writing daily in this blog? It rings true to me.

And finally, the new edition of O Magazine came this weekend. It's like getting a brand new school text book. On one hand, I thrill at the fresh information I'll learn, but on the other hand, I shudder when I think about the homework!
